Rosa Parks Green Team Featured at the Capitol Rotunda

A small group of students from Rosa Parks were featured at a press conference in the Capitol Rotunda in Frankfort, KY on January 12th, 2012. Representative Rocky Adkins announced the Kentucky Green Schools Initiative, which could potentially set aside $50 million dollars for schools to use for energy efficiency projects and set up a LEED Existing Building Pilot Program. Every dollar saved on energy can be diverted back into the classroom to areas that often recieve budget cuts, such as instructional resources or teacher salaries.
